National Youth Day will be held every year on the first Sunday of August, which will unite all young Indian Catholics and will be a time to witness the Gospel, celebrated at a diocesan level: is what the Commission for youth of the Indian Bishops' Conference established, as part of a work program which aims to help and accompany the spiritual growth of young people in the various dioceses.
Commission has launched a discussion and training program for diocesan
animators of youth Pastoral that will continue in 2017 and 2018.
Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who leads the diocese of Jalandhar and is
President of the National Commission on Youth in the Bishops'
Conference, highlighted that in early March the Commission prepared and
sent a program of initiatives among which the establishment of the
national annual Day, dedicated to young people.
Also in each diocese the
Catholic Youth Movement will be set up, which will refer to the local
Bishop and the Commission of the Bishops' Conference.
Among the events planned, there is also the participation in the seventh
Asia Youth Day, which in 2017 will be held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia,
